Starting at Roncy and Queen W. on the South end running up a few blocks to Howard Park, the Roncesvalles Polish Fesival is held every September. How did I know this? I didn’t until 2014. Toronto.com, BlogTo.com– thanks for getting me outside on the weekends.
This being a very family-friendly neighbourhood, there were some rides and activities to keep the little kids happy.
A festival wouldn’t be a festival without an insane amount of food to line up for a nibble while walking. When I think Polish, I think sausages and perogies. Some of the other stuff strayed far from theme (hello, Squid?), but I liked the spirit (read: vodka, ha-ha.)
“FREE YOGURT” !!! (The lineup was too long)
Doggies! Doggies make the world go round!
Why don’t they design cars so adorably anymore?
Now this is what I came to see! Cultural costumes– such colour! And dancing! Dancing is always good.
Lesson learned: Try to get out, enjoy pleasant weather and do new things while you can. Rather than regretting when the COLD comes and there is no choice but to hunker down under 10 blankets at home and hibernate to Netflix.
And because my sense of humour runs along the stupid. Things that made me smile the most.
